You Kikkawa talk show event

On saturday, You Kikkawa held some special talk show events with a limited number of fans at Universal Music.

A comedian, Tokihide Okami from Joujou Gundan, came as the MC to introduce and ask You some questions.
The entrance of the young girl surprised the public, because she came with a plant, her Japanese morning glory called Asagao-chan (asagao means Japanese morning glory).

She put it on a table and the MC directly asked her about her next plans.

She talked about her new photobook YOU and her DVD YOU! ～The DVD～ (both released on August, 17th).
It was her first time being in bikini so it was a bit embarassing at first but she really liked to do it, as well as Okinawa. She thinks this is a beautiful place.

Furthermore she talked about her new single Hapirapi ~Sunrise~ (released on September, 21th) which is the theme song for the exposition Nippon Terebi Shiodome Hakurankai 2011!.
The main point of this song is this is a fresh one for her, this is a song you can listen in the morning.
She is really happy about this release and will do her best once again.

Following this there was a small break with the diffusion of video where Universal directors has announced her she will be a solo artist.
Just after she gave her impressions about it. She really did not expect anything like this so she said she was saying yes and everything but she needed more time to really understand what was the announce.
Everything was so unreal for her, but now she is happy!!

The next short video is a short movie filmed in Okinawa. We can see You carrying a watermelon and saying in English: "I have a suika", this was really cute ;)
(Suika means watermelon).
Then she walks a bit in the water and plays on it. This is the end of the second video.
She said after she likes cherry and but she hates spicy things, specially piments.
She has discovered makomodake and kamesen, special food from Okinawa and has recommended everyone to try to eat those dishes.

After this, You thanked everyone for their coming, close to Asagao-chan. Almost everyone also has greet the plant, it was nice to see this.

Berryz Kobo event at Shiodome-AX

On Sunday, Berryz Kobo held 3 special events at Shiodome-AX. The three lives were sold out and the fans were waiting for a long time, even if it was really hot outside.
Those lives were part of the Shiodome☆Idol Carnival! 2011, which is also part of the exposition Nippon Terebi Shiodome Hakurankai 2011!.
The lucky fans could listen to the new You Kikkawa' song (Hapirapi ~Sunrise~) while waiting for the opening of the live house.

As soon as the girls arrived on stage, the concert hall become so hot!!
They wore nice kimonos and began directly to sing. As usual each member gave her best. Rival was on the setlist and it launched a crazy atmosphere in the hall. All were screaming, jumping, moving their penlights on rythm.

And the last song but not the least was their new single, Aa, Yo ga Akeru, a nice one. I am sure you will like it as well as the MV ;)

After a crazy live, they had an handshake time with the public.

You Kikkawa will release a new song Hapirapi ~Sunrise~ which will be the theme song of the exposition Nippon Terebi Shiodome Hakurankai 2011! More details soon...

Then, she will also release a photobook (YOU for 2940 yens) and a DVD (YOU! ～The DVD～ for 3990 yens) on August, 17th, both made in Okinawa.

The movie of You Kikkawa Kikkake wa YOU! will be released on DVD the 13th of July.
Limited release (4980 yens) includes:
DVD1 = movie (70') + preview

Regular release (2980 yens) includes:
DVD = movie (70') + bonus (7') (bonus not present in the limited release)

But there will be also a documentary dvd (2980 yens) of 90 minutes.

The single of You Kikkawa has finally been released, did you all buy it ? ;)

To celebrate this release, she had two events, the days before and after the release in the Tower Records of Shibuya then Shinjuku.

You Kikkawa had for the second time an event in the Tower Records of Shibuya. She sang several songs including the new one, answered some fans' questions and did handshake. This time was special because the 10 000th people to handshake You has been celebrated, and this woman won a gift from her. Many medias were here to film and take pictures of this.

You had another event in Shinjuku this time. She sang once again some songs, answered questions and did handshake. She even said the first CD she bought by herself was a CD from the Morning Musume。!!

You Kikkawa: her movie in Shinjuku!!

Last week it was the first time for the public to see the movie/documentary Kikkake wa YOU! at Cinem@rt in Shinjuku.

Of course people were really expecting from this movie and I think nobody has been disappointed.

I will not write the full story, because I am sure some of you do not want to be spoiled, don't you ? ;)

I can only say that it mixes the real Kikka channel videos of YouTube I introduced you in the past and the documentary that has been refilmed for the movie. It is quite surprising but the result is really great!!

But You Kikkawa couldn't stay like this, she came on stage to sing some songs (including a new one, be prepared to like this song as well!!) and then there has been some questions about the filming, etc.

You Kikkawa, new pre-debut event

You Kikkawa held on sunday two pre-debut events in the Tower Records shop of Shibuya. Of course Up-Front Link was there to make a report of this event, and this time I took many pictures!

After what happened in Japan, unfortunately You had to cancel many events and the release of her single has been postponed to May, 11th. But still, while being more and more present in the medias, she is also trying her best to be close to her new fans.

So on this sunday, many fans came to see her singing and to check her hand.

As soon as she comes on stage, people are singing, jumping, dancing with penlights while You is singing her first single Kikkake wa YOU!

And after 4 songs, a staff from Universal comes on stage to ask her some fans' questions. She talks about the movies she likes, and she recently saw Paranormal Activity!!

Her next dream is to go to many places to meet people and also to go to Kōhaku Uta Gassen (famous annual TV show on New Year's Eve).

Then she sang her last song after more than 30 minutes of show.

You Kikkawa: Last Kikka Channel

Here is the last Kikka Channel after the disasters, difficult to resume because there are many emotions inside this video as you may imagine.

The debut of You was fixed on March, 30th, so the first question is more like how does she feel knowing it had been postponed.
The young singer says she tried her best for this special day but after what happened...
Anyway her new official debut day is now on May, 11th and she wants to try once again her best for the people.

The second question is about what happened on March, 11th, so what are her feelings about this special day (earthquakes and tsunami).
She was in Nagoya (west of Tōkyō, so a bit far away from earthquakes and tsunami) on this day and there was an event on the following day and she felt sorry about cancelling it. After this she says she is from Ibaraki (area close to Tōhoku region, which includes Fukushima and Sendai) and when she came back over there, she has been really shocked seeing and listening to the aftershock of her family and friends after this disaster.

The last question is about singing.
She did not have enough time until now to think about the real meaning of singing. She can not say strong things but she wants to provide as much as possible happiness and good spirit, because somehow this is the role of the singer.

Then there are some messages from the staff about the postponed release and what happened.
So let's all support as much as possible You Kikkawa for her official beginning!!!!

And here is the comeback of the Kikka Channel !!

This time the video introduced the filming of the You Kikkawa's PV. This PV has been filmed on February in Tōkyō.

You comes to the studio and introduces her dress. The cameraman asks her what is the main point of her style. For her, the suits of playing cards and the type of the dress, which reminds of an umbrella, are the "kawaii" parts of her dress.
She announces she is quite nervous being alone on the filming stage but she will try her best.
Following this we can hear the staff giving advices on the PV.

During a break You has fun with a mirror and wishes to be filmed.
And after the last shooting the young girl says she is tired, it was her first time doing this but she enjoyed it. The following step is the release of the single!

To finish with this video, we can see You working for the CM of the release and watching the PV. She even says she finds her cute and feel embarrassed ;)

New Kikka Channel!!

This time we can see You Kikkawa after the recording of her single Kikkake wa YOU!
She meets the Passpo, a unit of the same company and You discovers some of the members have the same age as her (18 years old) and each has her own special shoes lace color.
After a small talk with them, she leaves the room while saying they are funny.
She says while meeting them, she had the same feeling while beeing in the Hello! Project Egg but now she has a solo carrier. But she begins to sense strongly what it means being a solo artist...

Then we see You during the photo-session for the single's jacket. And because the recording is over, she feels more relaxed.
She has to salute her senpai (her senior): Aya Matsuura!! As soon as they introduce themselves, Aya says she feels the idol on her. You answers she will try her best. A staff asks Aya to give an advice to her kouhai (junior) but the senpai answers she is a solo artist so there should not be any problem, she will feel at ease.

Just after in the elevator, You says Aya is great and cute and it was her first time talking with her, even if she met her before.
And on February 13th, You had an pre-debut event (but if you're following the blog, you already knew about it ;)). Singing as a solo artist is happiness for her now!
So after her efforts in the hard moments, she can feel pleasure now and began promotion for her debut.

This is the time for a new Kikka channel ;)

So after the rude words of the musical director Michitomo, You Kikkawa is back to the recording.
She enters the recording studio with a cheerful face, totally different from the previous time. She begins to sing and the musical director asks her again to change somehow her way of singing, giving once again more emotions, even if it is quite better compare to the previous time when he get angry...

Then during a small break, You says she is really hungry and asks if it is soon time to eat: she wants to eat cabbage.

Back to the recording, Michitomo asks her an important question: how can she explain the feelings and resume this song except the singing part?
As soon as she heard this question, the facial expression of the young girl changes, what his the real meaning of the words behind the song?

You answers it is a song about an unrequited first love, so this is not easy, etc. but when the other girls in the same situation will hear it, it will become a supporting song for them. Michitomo just said "indeed!!" and she has to add those feelings while singing now to give this nice energy.
You tries again to sing and it becomes really great!! She finally reached what the strict musical director was expecting from her.

She finally gives her feelings about the recording of the day. It was really different and she understood the song, etc.
She wants the people to listen to this supporting song from now.

Then we see You in an elevator, and something raised her! This is the end of the video, with the mini-live tour dates...

Here is the new video of Kikka Channel !

This time the video introduced her recording for the single with Michitomo (music director, arranger, sound mixer, etc.).

He is the one who will conduct You and give her advices for the recording, so he asked her to sing 4 songs to check how it goes.
Then he indicate her how to pronounce or when she had to change some emotions in her way of singing. But after some tests, he hasn't feel what he was expecting, just like if someone was singing and it was all. So the concept of Kikkake wa YOU! (the "opportunity" thanks to You) has no meaning. So he asks her to think about it. This is how the first day of recording stops...

You gives her impressions after the rude words of the music director, about her possibility to really become a solo artist. In the past she was part of a group, the Hello! Project Egg, so this is not the same now. She has to face something new. And this is the end of this video...

Last week You Kikkawa held an event for her pre-debut just before Valentine's Day.

As soon as she began to sing, the fans became really crazy, because it was also the first time to see her dancing the choreography for each song. There was even a woman in the public who came with the same clothes as You during her press conference, and of course You saw her and thanked her.

Here is the new episode of the Kikka Channel!!
So this time I will make a short translation of the video.

On November, 29th, You Kikkawa introduced herself to the staff of Universal Music (this is really important for Japanese people to introduce themselves to the whole staff).

Then, she met a famous Japanese band called ET-KING and introduced herself, saying she is singing cheerful songs like idols, so a member just replied they are doing the same thing and everyone laughed!
ET-KING's members told her to do her best and You wondered if she was going to meet other famous artists.

Following this you can see some videos of the press conference of January, 26th, I introduced you some days ago and her comment just at the end of it, saying the press conference is finished, etc.

As I said in a previous post, there will be a documentary about the debut of You Kikkawa which will be released during the Golden Week (end of April, early May).

So, after showing this special talent, we saw this teaser on a screen:

Just after this, a new announcement has been made : You will be the opening act of the Universal Dream Live 2011 on March 19th (Official website).

And for sure one of the best memories for the fans began: they had the right to take pictures of her from their mobile phone during one minute!!
